Karpaz Peninsula

Having explored the west, we decided to abandon the Ship Inn and explore the east. (After stocking up on fruit from the orchard and powering up with another tasty brekky, of course.)

Why do these grapefruit deserve full size photo billing? Because they are the tastiest grapefruit of all time, that's why.

Okay, food's a big theme in our lives. What can we say?

Continuing on with that theme... picnic time:

We were pretty sure this sign says "Great place to picnic right here. Enjoy." But given the location on a steep hill, blind corner, huge cliff, and dirty looks from passing motorists, there's a small chance it says "For christ's sake DO NOT picnic here. What are you, loco?" We didn't have a turkish/english dictionary handy so we'll never know for sure. (Mister did not feel like modeling for this picture, as you can tell.)

Evening walk at the Hotel Theresa, also known as Safety First Lodging.

That evening we started what was to become a nightly ritual... attempting to shoot the moon (see below). We played a lot of hearts. And the strategy was universal. Attempt to shoot the moon, regardless of your hand.
