Happy Halloween 2007
We're lucky to live in a town with a lot of fun community kid activities.
First was the pumpkin patch and pumpkin carving contest (OK, pumpkin patch is a bit of an exaggeration and it was a bit more like pumpkins spread out on the lawn, but it was still good for photo shoots and luckily it was the day before Halloween so that it was pumpkins on green grass instead of pumpkins on blizzardy snow!):
Then there's our favorite Tot Time and all the babies dressed up:
It was hard to catch a static photo of our favorite little chicken, but he was pretty darn cute.
He was kind of tired from his long night before, so he had to power up with the official drink of Dutch Harbor(usually sold by the case).
He was joined by all of his cute little friends:
Hayden the Monkey
Addie the witch (her morning costume.....for the evening she was a little lamb and her sister Little Bo Peep)
Rex the Turtle (Rex's parents are both photographers for The Deadliest Catch)
McKenzie the Little Red Riding Hood
Connor the Fire Breathing Dragon
And there were actually quite a few more kids and even a group photo taken (imagine trying to take a group photo of 10 moving tots), but alas my camera didn't make it.
And then for the evening, there was a 2 hour celebration at the Community Center with tons of large inflatable pumpkins and monsters and lots of games and toys and people and kids and candy and music and fun. You'll have to imagine it all as I forgot to recharge the camera. Sorry, but I think this post probably has about enough pictures anyway. Then we came home, put some $15 candles in our pumpkins, and waited for the Trick or Treaters. And guess, what?! We actually had Trick or Treaters. We've been dying for trick or treaters since our Ann Arbor days where it was almost illegal. So we just have a few pieces of extra candy, a couple of moldy pumpkins and the memories of Senor's 1st Happy Halloween.
