More Merry Christmas

Santa brought hockey stuff!

Why is everybody staring at me? This sock is totally not my size. And what's all this crap in here?

We got kind of a white Christmas. Off-white. We must've mumbled or something. It was a foggy one! More of a gray Christmas, really.

A rousing game of Hissss capped our evening with the Doodah. Thanks, Alex!

Conversing with the ninja cow.

Another look at dinner.

Tuckered.

Is this blog starting to take on the characteristics of a Facebooker who updates their status every 15 minutes? "I woke up. Monday again. Just took a crap. Etc." Oh, why fight it.

The buffalo gravy train rolls on. After learning from the internets that buffalo is healthier than skinless chicken breast in every category, we've tried to incorporate buffalo into every meal. It's surprisingly good on Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We seriously did learn that it's very nutritious, amazingly so, for a red meat that's not gamey in the least and quite a bit like cow. I can't imagine it isn't more popular. But then again, it's so tasty, there must be a chance that the information is bad.

In any event, we've upped our consumption mainly because of some miscalculations in the amount we originally unthawed. Buffalo burgers, buffalo NY strip, buffalo ribeye, buffalo porterhouse, buffalo steak sandwhiches, and buffalo chili have all made recent appearances on our menu.

Our Christmas dinner supported Kodiak ranchers, Kodiak crabbers, and the Kodiak brewery. And it was tasty! Just ask Stoko!

Alex enjoyed three days of surfing salty waves, his first foray into saltwater on a surfboard. "A little bit of that was fun number two." There was the occasional unfortunate pounding, but Alex said it was 80% fun number one. Of course, Boodah's ready for hockey.

We (by we I mean I) coined a new term for fun, fun number three. Fun number three is when you see something that looks super fun but you wind up not doing it for one reason or another. But you imagine how much fun it would've been if you had done it. Like when Alex and Dawson checked out the perfect waves at Fossil Beach but didn't get in the water. We had lots of fun number three. I have fun number three every time I watch people surf.

By Sunday, we were all tuckered out by so much fun number three we were ready for a mellow day of sight-seeing. And just when we forgot what it looked like, Blue sky! Yes, there was a tiny patch of it that somehow fought its way through the cloud cover over at Antone Larsen Bay.

Thanks for visiting, Alex! Thanks for all the fun number one, two and three!
