September Adventures and October Too

Let's see... we wandered in to the Big City for 10 days and enjoyed a lot of hanging around with Team Wilyo. Unfortunately we took very few pictures, but fortunately Nami always takes great pictures and some of them made it to her blog. The biggest news is that Mr. Revo-Roo started walking, and he's getting better and better at it every day.

We were living in the lap of luxury during Dawson's conference, staying at my favorite ancestor's dwelling, The Captain Cook. It's pretty cool - the huge hotel is decorated with reproductions of the paintings made by Captain Cook's official painters on his world travels. Each room has one. Ours happened to be of some Australians.

Revel-Roo had his own ideas about interior decorating. The hotel may have actually lost money on us simply on tissue replacement costs alone.

The next weekend, we had the good fortune of a visit from our favorite Armenian American, Tom Jamgochian. It was a speed visit, sub-48 hours, but we managed to hit all the Dutch Harbor highlights. Fortunately the weather cooperated. It's always great to see Tom and the time flew by. Of course we hiked to Peace of Mind cabin, checked out the bunkers, the church, the A.S.S., the bachelorette auction, the museums, and last but not least, the famous buffet.

Now hopefully Joy will start checking out our blog again! Fortunately, Tom also takes great pictures. (We have a small problem of getting excited about hanging out with friends and family and forgetting that we own a camera.)
