The latest and greatest

Berries, Berries everywhere! Here's some tasty salmonberries which have been made into jam and pie.

And even better are the blueberries of which we have no pictures. But they are big juicy plump delicious berries. I picked a bunch coming back from the Peace of Mind cabin and I'm excited to make Peace of Mind Jam. It's sure to help beat the winter morning blues (well, when combined with toast and coffee that is). Here's Senor and Papa returning from a berry picking mission. He's getting good at picking other people's noses (Senor, I mean. His papa was always good at it).

And speaking of missions......we are READY! Watch out world...

In other news, we just hosted our 3rd visitor to Unalaska! Very exciting. Dawson's friend from law school, Nate Wilhite, just took a break from exciting corporate law in Washington DC to take in the sights and adventures of Alaska. Nate caught a halibut about 5 pounds lighter than he is and we now have a big freezer full of halibut (Dawson caught 2 halibut too!). Here's some shots.

That's a halibut tongue, in case you are wondering!

The total day's catch. And the best part about it was paying someone to cut it up and vacuum seal it in nice 2 pound packages. Now that's worth it.

And Nate inspired us to play a game other than Scrabble. It was a nice change from the serious word play.

Thanks for visiting Nate!
