Well, Paxson Revel’s Great-Grandfather Davison passed away on July 15, 2008. Pax Rev never got a chance to meet him, unfortunately. Dawson's fondest memories with his Grandfather are of sailing adventures along the Florida coast. Ahoy!

Harrison Kimball Davison, Jr. was a life-long Ft. Myers, Floridian, who moved up to Alabama just a few years ago. Unfortunately, flights out of Dutch Harbor were canceled on account of the Okmok volcano eruption, so we were unable to attend the funeral service. The earliest seats they were offering are not available until Sunday, and the service is scheduled for Friday. But thanks to the marvels of modern technology, we are at least able to view a photo collage of his life. Our hearts go out to Grandmother Davison, Grammy Williams, the Simpsons and all the other folks who were down in Alabama for the farewell. Here’s wishing you an afterlife of bliss, Grandfather!

In searching for the internet site that hosts Grandfather‘s above mentioned obituary and photographs, we came across these sites. One of them traces the Davison line all the way back to the 1400s! You’d think we were L.D.S. with that type of genealogical presence on the internet! Who knows, maybe we are. In any event, it’s pretty interesting to click up and up and up on that thing and see where it goes. There’s even little biographies for a lot of the people.
