September Adventures
Time flies. We got some furniture.
The furniture is our first adventure in buying brand new furniture. We might stick to Craigslist in the future.
We got some great guests to sleep on our furniture. They even brought an excellent housewarming gift of furniture to really help us settle in. Thanks for making the trek to Kodiak, Greg and Sonja and Liza and Ivan! And thanks for the awesome double adirondack and the team antelope shirts!
(Here we are sitting on and around the furniture lovingly made by Greg himself.)
We did the usual Kodiak missions. Fishing, fair going, motocross watching, hanging out at the beach, bear viewing, fishing, body surfing, fishing, driving around in the monster van (el tigre as Greg likes to call it), hanging out at the beach, fishing, etc. Here's a montage of the activities.
(Apparently the balloons and strollers were causing some problems.)
Sonja contemplates the infamous Powerhouse ladies room. Unfortunately, the heat was out the night we visited (or maybe that's the waiter's retribution to customers who stay past 9:00).
Yes, that is a brown bear opposite Sonja.
Sonja contemplates the in
Gramps D and Grammy-cita also visited, but unfortunately we didn't take a single picture of them! We usually count on sharing Grammy's pictures, but this time we forgot to copy her disc before she left. Dang! Oh, well! Thanks for coming to visit, Grammy and Gramps!
This is the one photo we took. Gramps, hard at work preparing just the right amount of Costco polish sausages and psyllium husk for the Bernstein diet. We did our best to give him a vacation from his diet by supplying the occasional carbohydrate (donuts, etc.).
And now we are off for a quick mission to our old home sweet home out in Unalaska. We find it hard to believe it's been almost five months since we left!
